Lester Shippee papers, 1919-1966.

Papers of Lester Shippee, a Hartford, Connecticut, banker. The collection comprises correspondence, particularly related to his association with the University of Connecticut; copies of speeches; a photograph and copy of Shippee's military record; awards, several from the University of Connecticut; and many newspaper clippings regarding Shippee's role as a bank commissioner in the state. Shippee spent 33 years with Connecticut Bank and Trust, retiring in 1966.
